HSE & Process Safety
At ASPPC, safety is a core value and one of our top priorities. We are committed to protecting our employees, contractors, and local communities. Our safety programmes reinforce a strong safety culture, based on the principle that all incidents are preventable when tasks are completed safely.
Leadership plays a key role in achieving an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace. Leaders actively participate in coaching sessions, safety discussions, and workshops. The ASPPC SHE Committee, chaired by the CEO, reviews monthly SHE highlights, major incidents, lessons learned, and conducts regular site visits.
Safety is embedded in all ASPPC processes and programmes. Continuous improvements include the introduction of Life Saving Rules, enhanced Process Safety, strengthened Risk Management, and a robust Permit to Work system.
These achievements are driven by the dedication and commitment of our workforce, maintaining a strong focus on safe task execution.
Compliance with Life Saving Rules
ASPPC Life Saving Rules (LSR) consist of nine clear and consistent rules that define essential “do’s and don’ts” for high-risk activities. Industry experience confirms that failure to comply with LSRs is a significant contributor to serious incidents and fatalities.
Compliance with Process Safety Fundamentals
ASPPC embeds Process Safety Fundamentals across all operational stages, ensuring risks are controlled and incidents are prevented. Operations align with internationally recognized PSFs and MOPMR standards to protect people, assets, and the environment.
Compliance includes hazard identification, risk management, safe work practices, and continuous training to strengthen resilience against major accident hazards.
